Composites can have some damaging side effects if not used with respect. It is also an area within composites that is not always fully understood.
This Composite H&S Management training course breaks down both the safety and health implications of using composites as well as ways to reduces the risks in a practical way.

H&S is everyone’s responsibility. As such, this course is aimed at everyone who is involved with a composite business.
We recommend anyone who works with composites to come on this course. Technical and non-technical. Managers and operators. All will get benefit from this course.
This course covers a range of H&S aspects including:
- What is the hierarchy of controls
- Key safety hazards for the core composite processing techniques
- Key health hazards for the core composite processing techniques
- The risks and hazards to those not directly on the processes
- Common defences to protect against hazards
- How to carry our risk and COSHH assessments
- How to account for the Human Factor influences
While this course doesn’t directly match the standard, this course follows the principles within ISO 45001
At the very least, we would expect people to know the basic materials and processes used in composites.
Knowledge or experience of any previous H&S courses like IOSH is not necessary but does help.
We can deliver this at your facility for £200 per person up to 10 people per group*. We can also deliver this at a local venue near you for a small additional price.
The course is one day (0900 – 1630) and is held in an interactive classroom setting
*minimum of 4 people required
While this course doesn’t directly lead onto any other courses it is a great confidence booster in support of any of our practical courses.
